Std. VI, VII and VIII (Middle School) and Std. IX and X (High School)
This section is divided into 2 parts-Std. VI, VII and VIII (Middle School) and Std. IX and X (High School).
This is done purely for academic and administrative convenience. Here, there is a combination of Day-to-Day assessment and Terminal Examinations. Hence Assessment is both Formative and Summative. There are regular Weekly Tests and 2 Examinations – one per Term. The Marks obtained in all the weekly, two examinations and the internal assessments are added together and the average of all three components will decide the final result.
The subjects at the Middle school level will be – English, Hindi, Marathi, Science, Mathematics, History & Civics, Geography, Computer Studies, Art, Craft and Physical Education. The activities mentioned above will continue to be a part of their curriculum Every pupil will have a Library period and must try and read as many books possible. A record of the same will be maintained by the students.
At the IX and Xth Standards pupils study – English, Hindi, Marathi, History & Civics, Geography, Mathematics, Science and a Group Ill subject such as Computer Applicatons, Environmental Science Application / Physical Education or Art.
All pupils right from Grade 1 to 10, are involved in SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) which is an integral part of the course curriculum This involves visits to Old Age Homes, Orphanages. Resource Mobilization and activities that create a sense of social awareness in the pupil. While these will not be marked a record of these activities are maintained and a Grade is given at the end of the year.
There will be project linked tours to places of Academic interest and students on their return from these tours will submit projects regarding their visits.
The students at the end of class X, will appear for the ICSE examinations conducted by the CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination) New Delhi.
At all levels, we follow the curriculum pattern drawn up by the CISCE. Eventually, we plan to have Grades XI and XII too.
